A Typical Karate Class

Every class starts with various stretching and breathing techniques designed to loosen muscles and tendons. Next are a series of exercises that grow fitness and endurance. Then the class often completes a key kata that has health and self-defense benefits. Following this, the class focuses on learning new katas and techniques, doing drills, and learning and practicing kobido or traditional weapons. The teacher then concludes with a final message
